On Line Courses

The courses on offer are:

• Course 1 - Part 1 Foundation Course 

  This foundation course does not offer a LEEA qualification for inspection or examination of lifting equipment but must be completed before a delegate can undertake the Diploma or Specialist Module courses.

• Course 2 - Lifting Gear General

• Course 3 - Lifting Machines Manual

• Course 5 - Lifting Machines Power

• Course 6 - Runways & Light Crane Structures

You will be expected to complete the Part 1 Foundation Course before going on to the specialised subjects.

How long are the courses?

You will receive 20 units to study as each is completed and uploaded for marking the next will become available.  You can work at your own pace but most students will find that completing one unit per week allows sufficient time for learning.

Your assignments will be marked and returned to you so you can monitor your progress and prepare for your examination.

Work received less than four weeks prior to your agreed examination date will not be marked or returned.

Please note: Course enrolment does not automatically include examination entry. You will receive notification of the upcoming examination dates and entry forms.

Who can enrol?

The courses are open to all individuals meeting the admission criteria.

Students should have access to the LEEA Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lifting Equipment.. Trainees can buy this at the discounted price of £100 (overseas postage or courier costs extra). Visit our publications catalogue.
