Available to all employees of member companies, our highly successful and annually updated distance learning courses will enable you to meet the high standards required to pass the LEEA examinations.
They are available for study via traditional mail, email and now also online.
The courses on offer are:

Course 1 - Part 1 Foundation Course
This foundation course does not offer a LEEA qualification for inspection or examination of lifting equipment but must be completed before a delegate can undertake the Diploma or Specialist Module courses.

Course 5 - Lifting Machines Power

Course 6 - Runways & Light Crane Structures
You will be expected to complete the Part 1 Foundation Course before going on to the specialised subjects.
How long are the courses?
Each course lasts for 20 weeks. You will receive one unit a week to study and will complete one assignment each week.
Your assignments will be marked and returned to you so you can monitor your progress and prepare for your examination.
Work received more than four weeks after the last unit of the course material has been despatched will not be marked or returned.
Please note: Course enrolment does not automatically include examination entry. You should receive your exam entry form in the New Year.

The courses are open to all employees of LEEA Members.
What does it cost?

Conventional mail – UK
£345.00 inc. VAT. This includes everything except text books and other additional reading matter.

Conventional mail – overseas
We recommend that international students use the on line training facility as surface mail is an unreliable method of delivery.
Reference material
Students should have access to the LEEA Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lifting Equipment. Members can buy this at the discounted price of £90 (overseas postage or courier costs extra). Visit our publications catalogue.
